I know it has been awhile since I have written a blog. I’m still here, just super busy making homemade baby food for my 6 month old, running my business, teaching boot camps twice a week and working out.
Good news is I am back in my size 4 jeans and down to my pre-baby weight!!!
In the last couple of months my husband and I have been receiving a CSA box from JBG, it feels like Christmas when he walks in the door with all the yummies. Today I thought I would share some of the jewels inside and what I will do with them.
Getting ready to puree spinach (not from CSA) and carrots for Nolan.
Tomatoes from JBG CSA and my backyard. Once the food processor is available we will turn these beauties into salsa to accompany our carnitas which we smoked for 10 hours on Sunday.
Potatoes and squash will be turned into a potato/squash goat cheese Au Gratin.
More baby food, steaming away…..
Peppers, carrots, green beans, and BEETS!!!!
These beautiful peaches came from our peach picking adventures in Fredericksburg.
I have made pureed peaches for Nolan and Peach Oatmeal every morning.
Best way to start the day!
Dinner time is pretty crazy around our house since we cook most everything from scratch, I am usually nursing or getting homemade food warmed up while my husband is playing Sous Chef to whatever we are making. I will try to share photos and recipes from the creations I make with all of these beautiful foods grown in East Austin.
