4 Step Turkey Sausage and Peppers

Sausage and Peppers

This was EASY, took all of 10 minutes to prep and 20 minutes in the oven. Not only was it easy but it was done in one dish and in 4 easy steps.

What you need:

Garlic

Onion

Peppers any color

Sweet Italian TURKEY sausage

Can of  unsalted diced tomatoes

Fresh Basil

Pick your own starch or carb to serve it with. We used whole wheat rotini pasta. You can use whole wheat hot dog buns and make a sausage and pepper sandwich, you could make red skin mashers or red skin oven wedges or pour it over brown rice.

Step 1: Saute your garlic, then add you sausage, onion and peppers. Allow them to saute for 7-10 minutes.

Step 2: Pull the sausage out from under the peppers and onions.

Step 3: Add your can of unsalted diced tomatoes, sprinkle some Italian seasoning and pepper on top and place in the oven at 375 for 20 minutes.

Step 4: Sprinkle some fresh basil as it comes out of the oven

Step 5: okay I lied there are 5 steps. This last step is the easiest, EAT IT!!!!
