Holy Butternut Squash Bolognese Batman!


This experiment was a TOTAL success!!!

What you need:
1/2 roasted butternut squash
2 Italian turkey sausages
Lean ground beef
1/2 cup of low fat milk
1/4 cup of pasta water
Whole wheat pasta
Spices used:

In your pan saute chopped onion and garlic. Add you turkey sausage out of the casing so it will end up grounded, then add your ground beef. When the meat is cooked add 1/2 of the roasted butternut squash. Make sure you mash the squash up while it cooks with everything else. Allow to simmer, start boiling your pasta water. When your pasta is finished cooking add your milk and your reserved pasta water to the sauce. Sprinkle a little salt, pepper and oregano. Allow to simmer and turn into a thick sauce. Pour over pasta and shave a little parmesean cheese.
