A Glaze that Goes Both Wayz…

This was a total accident and was amazing! We grilled these beautiful pork chops last night…

We wanted to put a fruity glaze on the chops just before they came off of the grill and then again when they were finished resting. We got creative and it was delicious!

What you need:
1 ripe pear
6 oz blackberries
2 tbsp of corn starch
2 tbsp of maple syrup
pinch of salt

Start with peeling your pear and dice, add in a sauce pot along with blackberries and 1/4 cup of water. Allow this to boil, then with a potato masher go to town macerating the fruit. In a bowl add you 2 tbsp of corn starch and 2 tbsp of water and stir. Add the mixed corn starch and water to your fruit along with your maple syrup and a pinch of salt. Stir and you will end up with this delicious glaze that can go both ways…





Also, you will see in the image of my dude’s up top, my husband put the glaze in his acorn squash soup that I made that day. It was amazing, I went back and added it as well. Sadly I did not get a great photo, however just make a note as I will blog the soup this week. Now you will have 3 ways for the glaze.
