AA Smoothie


Ready to kick that cold to the curb? How about those aches and pains that you have from daily living? I have a yummy solution that my mom, who has recently finished chemotherapy taught me. She discovered from research and approval from her doctor, that the daily intake of turmeric can reduce inflammation. It is also very high in anti-oxidants, thus kicking the cold to the curb.
I have some issues with my hip from years of Belly Dancing and being so right hip dominated, as a result I have created alot of wear and tear. Obviously I want to reduce the inflammation naturally. This morning I introduced turmeric into my diet and I will try to do this daily, if possible. My mom started 2 days ago and already feels like her aches and pains have subsided. This morning I made a AA (Anti-inflammatory/Anti-oxidant) smoothie at 8:30am, it held me until lunch at 12:30. I’m a big eater too so this is saying something!

What you need:
1 banana
1/2 cup of frozen peaches
*1/4 cup of bolthouse farms daily vedge juice
1/4 cup of almond milk
1 tbsp non-fat Greek yogurt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp turmeric

Blend and enjoy!

My next Turmeric experiments will be turmeric milk, turmeric butternut squash and turmeric scrambled eggs.

*I usually buy 2 of these, 1 veggie and 1 root veggie blend to add to my smoothies. A little goes a long way…
