Korean Inspired Macro Bowl

I could eat like this daily, I love putting things in bowls and more than that I LOVE cooking with color. I always try to make sure every meal has a carb, protein and a fat. With that I also make sure it has plenty of color variety. If you PLAN ahead you can easily have most of these items cooked ahead of time so on a busy night all you have to do is assemble.

What you need:


*Short grain brown rice


*Lean ground turkey and 1 egg per person


Egg yolk and the olive oil that the veggies are cooked in


Roasted broccoli and zucchini

*Sautéed Kale

*Sautéed mushrooms

*Shaved raw carrots

*Pickled cabbage (I did red)

*Raw green onions chopped

The other items you will need:

2 tbsp brown sugar

2 tbsp braggs liquid amino acid

1 tbsp chili garlic paste

1 tbsp fresh shaved ginger

1/2 cup of vegetable broth

*items that can be prepped on your bulk cooking day 

How to cook the turkey:

Combine your turkey, brown sugar, braggs, garlic paste, ginger and a couple handfuls of the green onions (reserve some raw for later) in a saute pan and cook.

How to cook your kale:

Saute in your pan with the 1/2 cup of vegtable broth, takes all of 7 minutes to cook it down

How to cook your shrooms:

Sauté with EVOO

How to roast your broccoli and zucchini:

On a cookie sheet, toss with oil and roast at 375 for 10-15 min

How to pickle:


Once everything is complete, assemble and fry an egg for the top.
